This is how you get to the campaign

Step 1: Download the “Bike Citizens” app and register

The prerequisite for participation is registration in the “Bike Citizens” app. You can decide for yourself whether you want to use your real name or a nickname. You can then join the campaign in the “Plaza” menu item. It is important to register again here with your company email address and agree to the data protection and participation regulations. Then you select the workplace and follow the app’s instructions.

Step 2: Create a team or join a team
To create a new team, the participant must set a team name, select a team picture, enter the team description and then automatically becomes team captain. But you can also join an existing team. A team consists of at least 2 and max. 5 people.

Step 3: Start recording and start cycling
Only bike rides that are recorded in the "Bike Citizens" app and start or end within the hospital and medical university area count (the workplace must already be selected in the app). The ride recording must be done manually at the start and finish The app can be started or ended. For Android phones, this is also possible using the widget, which can be conveniently placed on the home screen of the smartphone.

Step 4: Collect points – statistics and rankings
There are points for every trip to work - 10 points per trip, 5 points per 10 km and 5 points per week as a reward if the team is full (= 5 people). There are also several different point boosters for the team if certain goals (e.g. everyone rides on the same day) are achieved within a week. Multiple boosters can also be achieved. The more points, the better the place in the ranking - but don't worry, there is a new chance every week, because the team rankings are reset every week.

Step 5: Win and celebrate team successes
Prizes can also be won in raffles during the campaign. The current challenges and raffles can be found below. Individuals can also win prizes.
